Why we meet

As individuals and as a church we all have five purposes to fulfil.

Purpose No 1 - Worship

‘Love the Lord with all your heart’. The church exists to worship God and so do we as individuals.

Purpose No 2 - Ministry

‘Love your neighbour as yourself’. Ministry is demonstrating God’s love to others by meeting their needs and healing their hurts in the name of Jesus.

Purpose No 3 - Evangelism

‘Go and make disciples’. The church exists to communicate God’s word and to be Christ’s Ambassadors and to evangelise the world.

Church Walk

Purpose No 4 - Fellowship

‘make disciples… baptising them… teaching them’. Being in fellowship with other members of the church enables us to learn and grow as Christians.

Purpose No 5 - Discipleship

‘Teaching them to obey’. The church exists to edify or educate God’s people. Discipleship is the process of helping people become more like Christ in their thoughts, feelings and actions.
