We are a ‘Community Church’ and so we aim as a church to reach out to the community both in Chelmsford and beyond.
I am always excited when I read in Ephesians 2:10
‘For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do’.
And then in Ephesians 4:12
‘It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ’.
We have all been created by God on purpose and for a purpose. We were created to do good works and the aim of the church is to prepare, or disciple folk to fulfil those works and purposes.
So our aim is twofold, the first is to equip and train all of our members. The second is to send these mature believers out into the community to serve and minister to the lost and lonely, to those who live in fear, to those who have no voice, to those in prison, to those who are sick, to the poor, to anyone else in need.
