As you can see from the picture above we are a very mixed group of people with a wide range of ages, from very young babies to great-grandmothers. In order to give you a flavour of who we are a few members would like to introduce themselves to you. You might also like to look at the Testimonies and Comments page.

I became a Christian when I was 15 but spent most of my 20’s, 30’s and 40’s not going to church. In 1997 I joined Chelmsford Community Church and recommitted my life to God. My husband Les is also a Christian and together we lead the Sunday Club for the youngest members of CCC. I also enjoy leading the puppet team and scrapbooking evenings.

I joined Chelmsford Community Church shortly after moving to the area - over 20 years ago! It means a great deal to me - not least because I met my wife here! I am part of the puppet community and have the pleasure of leading the worship team.
Everyone is welcome at Chelmsford Community Church. However, we do have people who want to be "members" of the church. This is simply an acknowledgement that CCC has become their spiritual home. There are no embarrassing initiations, but there is a genuine commitment by the church to support members, and by members to support the church.
The church membership is a family that works together to support each other and to enable the different parts of our family life to operate. It's our church members who set up and break down all the equipment needed for our services. Our members run the mid-week community groups, staff the events team, make up the puppet community and play in the worship team.
The church leaders couldn't do it all without such great support. Thank-you!
One way our members can support the church - at no extra cost ! - is to use the following link when shopping on-line. Using the link takes you to a page which registers that you are shopping and gives a small contribution for every purchase made through the usual, well-known, on-line suppliers.
